Summer Fun

This summer continues to one filled of sun and fun! We seem to always be busy with some activity or taking it easy and enjoying being around the house. Here are some of the fun we have been having recently...

Summer always flies by way to fast and I wish that it would just slowwwwwww down but since time continues to be the same all year round I instead choose to cherish the memories that we make in each season! Love Summer 2014 and know it will continue to be a great one!!

Lake Getaway with my Sweetheart

Last fall Matt and I decided that it was time for the two of us to think about going on a trip with just the two of us, so we started thinking and planning and trying to come up with a possible place for us to escape to.  We started a list and researching the places we could go/wanted to go.

As you can see we had no problem thinking of places where we would potentially like to go and the places listed above are place that we would still LOVE to visit but unfortunately on a seminary students budget many of the above locations were out of the question :(  So we decided that we would just enjoy a weekend at SML and we had a BLAST!  It didn't matter that we didn't get to go somewhere extravagant all that mattered was that we were together, just the two of us!  (note: we would still love to go somewhere extravagant) 

So on Friday after work Matt and I (with our nephdog, Jack who we were babysitting that week) loaded up the car and headed to SML!  We spent the weekend relaxing in the sun, playing board and card games, fishing, walking, eating yummy food, and just enjoying being with one another.

But super happy we had a great time!! Matt was fishing, that is why we look like we are so far apart.

Loved our weekend getaway and hope to do it again soon!!

Selfies

These days "selfies" are all the rage, and at first I didn't participate and I still tend to not participate unless someone else is in the picture with me!  One thing that my nieces and I do a lot to pass time as we wait somewhere or just because there is no one else is around is take "selfies".  I always think they are fun to look at so I thought I would post some on here.  Caroline has gotten quite good at taking "selfies" and striking different poses.  I think Catherine will be there very soon.  Maybe our niece Camilla can pose for some "selfies" too next time I see her!

***So as I went through my pictures to find some of my favorite "selfies" I realized that I actually take a lot more than I thought and with more people than just my nieces.  Below are many of my favorite "selfies"! ***

My sister can now laugh at me because she just loves that I take "selfies".  However she has been caught taking more of them these days!
