I pray for their birth mother and father, I pray for their boldness, for their difficult decision in entrusting someone else to love and care for the child they carried for 9 months, I pray for their decisions that they make and how each one will impact the future of our child, I pray that they would see Christ in us.
I pray for our precious baby and their safety and development, I pray for their lives that we would always be pointing them to Christ, I pray that they will bond well with us, I pray and that we would be the perfect family for them!
I pray for Matt and I and that the Lord will prepare us to raise the child/children that He entrusts to us, I pray that we will seek Christ in the decisions that we make in raising this child, that we will help this child develop a deep strong love for the Lord, that they will be encouraged by us to try new things, to be brave, to be bold, and to love others! I pray for the rest of the money we will need before our adoption placement and many, many, other things I could include on this list.
There are days where I ask God why not today, why not this week, why not this month? What is the hold up? There are plenty of days I am totally raw and real but God always reminds me that His timing is perfect and He does not delay. There is nothing I can do to make it go quicker, God has the PERFECT child picked out for us and I am waiting anxiously and faithfully for that day and child to come! God has given me two songs that I cling to while we wait: "Good, Good Father" and "Always".
"Oh, my God, He will not delay
My refuge and strength always,
I will not fear, His promise is true,
My God will come through always!"
Precious bundle of joy, your mommy is waiting to love you, to hold you, to care for and nurture you. I may not be the perfect mom but I promise to always love you unconditionally!
